Some multi-storey buildings are fitted with a pressurizing system which protects escape routes and fire fighting staircases against the ingress of smoke.
When the Fire Alarm sounds, large fans start to operate which pressurize the escape routes and fire fighting staircases with fresh air. The pressures, door forces and air velocities produced must be accurately controlled.
We carry out full inspection and testing of your Pressurized Fire Escape Systems to the current standards. We report on the system performance and highlight any defects found. A Certificate of Conformity is issued when the system is found to be satisfactory.
Proper inspection, testing and repair, if necessary, by competent persons every six months is usual for this type of Life Safety system.
