Smoke Extraction Systems are an essential requirement of many types of building. They are designed to draw deadly smoke from a fire within a building and bring in fresh air. Smoke Extraction Systems are classed as "Life Safety" and must work effectively when needed.

Smoke Extraction Systems consisting of very large fans, dampers, fire rated ductwork and electrical control systems are part of our specialist inspection and test package.

We inspect all of the technical details; the electrical distribution switch gear and the standby electrical supply, the Diesel Generator where fitted, the system control panel, correctly rated cables and the link with the building fire alarm.

We inspect and test the smoke extraction fans, dampers and ductwork and measure flow rates and volumes against the original design criteria. When everything is known to be satisfactory, we issue a certificate.
